Business and Intellectual Property Litigation Attorney
Pay: Base Salary $176,000 – $206,000 per year (DOE), plus benefits and bonuses.
Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Huntington Beach, CA 92647 (primarily in-office with remote and in-person court appearances as needed)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Business and Intellectual Property Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join our dynamic team in Huntington Beach. This role involves handling a wide range of complex commercial litigation and advisory matters, including breach of contract, civil fraud, business torts, trademark, copyright and trade secret infringement, defamation, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, employers’ side employment law, and construction matters.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong legal drafting and negotiation skills, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision while delivering outstanding outcomes.

Responsibilities
Independently manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including taking ownership of strategy, deadlines, and client communication. Appear remotely and in-person in California state and federal courts; prepare and argue briefs, pleadings, motions, and discovery matters. Draft, review, and ensure accuracy and compliance of all legal documents. Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and preparation. Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients. Prepare documentation, evidence, and trial materials; participate in trials, hearings, and depositions. Manage case files, scheduling, and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. Stay current on evolving laws and regulations affecting clients. Collaborate with the team on complex strategies while driving day-to-day case progress autonomously. 1,820 billable hour annual requirement Qualifications
Required:
Juris Doctor (JD) and active California Bar license in good standing. 5+ years of experience as a litigator in business/commercial litigation. Proven ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision (self-starter with strong focus and initiative). Strong track record in legal drafting, negotiation, and successful client outcomes. Experience handling court appearances, depositions, and trial preparation (first or second chair trial experience strongly preferred). Ability to practice in California state and federal courts. Excellent research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency with LexisNexis (or equivalent) and case management software (Clio experience a plus). Ability to thrive in a collaborative yet autonomous, fast-paced environment. Preferred:
Familiarity with intellectual property, employment defense, commercial landlord/tenant, or construction law. Business contract drafting experience. Entertainment Law experience (film, television, arts, media, music industry). Experience with entrepreneurship or small business clients. Admission to Bankruptcy Court.
